Somerfest is all about celebrating Somerset and our rich cultural diversity of talent from local musicians, Indian rhythms, African beats, Brazilian dance, Somerset crafters, street theatre, aerial circus, family activities and attractions and an exciting array of Outdoor Arts.
Somerfest 2017 is creatively produced by Fuseperformance presenting a professional programme of extraordinary talent. We have an exciting programme of local, national, international acts.
Somerfest 2017 will be an exciting year of performance, arts, sport, circus, theatre, dance, creating interactive playful environments, showcasing music and talented artists.

The festival is free to attend but not to make, we want to keep the festival free and accessible and there are a number of ways you can help and support us
This year is the Brewhouse Theatre 40th birthday, the Great Somerset Duck Race in aid of Cancer Research Uk, the Taunton Medieval Long Sword world record breaking challenge, Bingo Lingo, ZoieLogic Somerset Dance project and final FEAST production. As festival organisers Fuseperformance work with local, people across Taunton, Somerset and the south west region and nurture and support local artists, from beginners to emerging companies, and beyond as part of the annual creative training hubs. We also invite the best of outdoor arts, artist’s and companies to work with us to offer an inspirational array of arts from street theatre, aerial circus, puppetry, contemporary dance, street music and outdoor shows.
As creative producers Fuseperformance manage events and artistic programmes for Dunster by Candlelight, Bridgwater Quayside Festival, Somerset events in both urban and rural areas and regional events as well as developing new work. We don’t often get the chance to tell our story as we are busy creating and are pleased to be out there making work with incredible artists, communities and people.
Fuse have built audiences in excess of 16,000 at Somerfest and are passionate about arts, culture, community and the environment. We work with artists, cultural creatives, organisation’s, businesses, communities, individuals and with and for young people training the next generation in the outdoor arts and creative industries.
